New Bed and Happy Easter

Time is flying by so fast. My little baby is growing by leaps and bounds and having so much fun. Laurelai has grown so much that it was time to get her into a bigger bed. She LOVES her big girl bed and is very proud of it. She has to show it off to everyone who comes over. It is so hard for me to believe that she was once tiny in a bassinet and now is sleeping in a full size bed. She calls for me in the morning when she wakes up and when I go into her room, she greets me with a very chipper, "Good morning Mommy." It always makes me smile, and I can't think of a better way to start of the day. Easter came early this year. The Easter bunny visited us and left Laurelai lots of neat things to do arts and crafts with. Laurelai invited her friend Mark over and they hunted eggs together. They had a blast and then played so well together for the rest of the afternoon. I am in totally disbelief, but Laurelai will be 3 years old in less than 2 weeks!!!!!

Look at my big girl bed, isn't it pretty!!!!

It is so warm and cozy under all these covers. Come on Mommy, want to get in with me?

Here I am riding my tricycle. Watch out!!!! I'm not that good at the steering part.

Look at all the goodies the Easter Bunny brought me. He must really like me.

Here I am smiling cute for Mommy. She likes it when I cooperate when she is trying to take a picture.

Look at all the eggs Mark and I found.

My little nature girl.

Laurelai has become quite the little nature girl. She would rather be outside than anywhere else. We go to a park that has a 3 1/2 mile nature trail as often as possible. She loves looking for squirrels, chipmunks, geese and ducks. The other day we saw a snake on the trail. The typical little girl would have ran screaming. Not Laurelai! She wanted to go right up to it. I had to pick her up and literally carry her away from it. The whole time she was saying, "Hi Snake, how are you today snake?" Once we got safely away from it, she didn't understand why we couldn't go back and see it. I love that she is such a free spirit and is not easily scared. She is so outgoing and always has fun wherever we go.
Laurelai is already looking forward to her birthday party in Apirl. She is the one that brought it up first, not me. She told me she wants to have cake, balloons and presents. We went to Party City yesterday to pick out what kind of party she wants to have. I thought for sure she'd pick out something with Disney princesses or Tinkerbell. Nope, my girl is going to have a Curious George party. She's all excited and I think it's pretty cool. She can be a girlie girl when she wants to be, but she's also a tough little cookie that can get rough and tumble with the best of them. I don't know how I got so lucky when God gave her to me, but I sure am loving her personality and am enjoying watching her grow..

Thank heavans for a spring like day!!!!!

We've had a couple of cold, blah past few weeks. I for one am ready for spring time. I would never make it living up north because I totally dislike winter. I am looking forward to seeing some bright blue skies, puffy white clouds, spring green leaves on the trees and flowers blooming. Luckily today was a step in the right direction. While everything is still brown and bare, the weather was beautiful. We had to take advantage of it and went for a little hike in the woods. Laurelai had a blast running around, picking up leaves and exploring. Here are a couple of pictures of her in the great out doors.

Portfolio

I think anyone who knows me, knows how much I enjoy taking photographs. I have been working on putting together a portfolio of some of my favorites and some that I just think are neat. I hope you enjoy.
